  • April 25th is National Telephone Day, a day to celebrate the invention of the telephone and its impact on technology and communication. Alexander Graham Bell's invention of the telephone in 1876 revolutionized the way people communicate. This invention paved the way for many other advances including the first payphone (invented by William Gray in 1889), which was installed at a bank located right here in Hartford Connecticut on the corner of Main Street and Central Row!
