It was an extraordinary day of golf and giving at this year's Ivan Lendl Golf Classic! Thank you to everyone who joined us in raising funds to rebuild lives through adaptive sports and inclusive recreational activities. Special thanks to Celebrity Emcee and NBC Connecticut's Bob Maxon for bringing the sunshine, and for being our camp champion. The generosity of our sponsors, golfers and guests allows us to continue to provide our Ivan Lendl Adaptive Sports Camp at no-cost to participants!

Congratulations Courtney MacCasland, on being awarded a Nightingale Award for Nursing Excellence! Courtney has significantly contributed to developing new nurses through her oversight of the orientation and nurse residency programs. She embraces change, welcomes new ideas, and runs with innovation. Her mentees come to her for advice about career advancement, where she can share her career journey towards excellence. She advanced from an associate’s degree to a baccalaureate, to a master’s degree and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program to advance her professional growth.

Thank you to the Plainville Police Department for visiting our autism center with a donation from their Autism Acceptance Month patch sales. The support and generosity of our community supporters help us continue to rebuild lives.

Team Special Care had a great time at the APDA CT Optimism Walk on May 4th. Our team helped raise over $6,000 for our community partners. This money helps APDA promote hope and optimism for individuals with Parkinson's Disease through innovative services, programs, education, and support while funding vital research. This year's Mahoney Sabol & Company, LLP 5K at the Travelers Championship saw sunny skies and a remarkable field of over 400 racers! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the day and raise funds for our neuromuscular care center, which provides revolutionary medical care for patients living with ALS and other neuromuscular diseases.
