Event Description: Get ready for a musical experience ripped from the pages of Mo Willems' beloved, award-winning, best-selling children's books: Elephant & Piggie's "We Are in a Play!" Professional actors bring this delightful story to life at Playhouse on Park from December 9-17. Tickets are on sale now. In Elephant & Piggie's "We Are in a Play!" (lyrics by Mo Willems, music by Deborah Wicks La Puma), Gerald and Piggie take to the stage in a rollicking adventure that is perfect for young audiences. An elephant named Gerald and a pig named Piggie are best, best, "bestus" (a word Gerald and Piggie made up that means "very best") friends, but Gerald worries that something could go wrong that would end their friendship. Piggie is not worried at all. She's even happier and more excited than usual. That's because she and Gerald are invited to a party hosted by the Squirrelles, three singing squirrels who love to have a good time. And so begins a day when anything is possible. The Miracle League of CT is partnering Playhouse on Park in presenting two special sensory-friendly performances of Elephant & Piggie's "We Are in a Play!" are on December 15 at 10am, and December 17 at 10am. All tickets will be specially priced at $5 for these performances only, all seats reserved. The Miracle League of CT offers opportunities for children with sensory issues and other special needs to enjoy educational and cultural activities. The Miracle League of CT is, additionally, the official and Primary Sponsor for Playhouse on Park’s 2017-2018 Young Audience Series. Elephant & Piggie's "We Are in a Play!" runs December 9-17. Show times are Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm & 4pm, and Wednesdays at 10am & 2:30pm. Tickets range from $16-$18 each, all seats reserved.
