Event Description: Visit the Wadsworth Atheneum after hours to enjoy live music, art activities, food, a cash bar, and more! June’s Art After Dark marks the opening of the Mika Tajima/MATRIX 177 installation “After Life” AND celebrates the museum’s Wadsworth Welcome initiative, which offers free museum admission to Hartford residents. Highlights will include: Gallery Talk, 5:30pm Simply Splendid: Rediscovering American Design, with curator Brandy Culp Wadsworth Welcome Remarks, 6pm Director & CEO Thomas J. Loughman Gallery Talk, 6:30pm MATRIX 177 with artist Mika Tajima Tickets will be available at the door and are $10, $5 for museum members, and FREE this month for Wadsworth Welcome cardholders. All current Hartford residents are eligible to register for a free Wadsworth Welcome card, offering free museum admission during regular hours.
