Event Description: The Connection 2016 agency conference is Curing Violence: Healthier Individuals, Families, and Communities, to be held on Monday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 25 on the Wesleyan University campus in Middletown. The themes for this year's conference include: • Continuum of Care: Self to Others • Family and Youth Violence Prevention • Justice and Healing for Victims and Offenders • The Second Chance Act The conference will be of interest to Social workers, community providers, community justice professionals, and anyone interested in the prevention of violence to create healthier individuals, families and communities. CEs and CEUs from the National Association of Social Workers and Connecticut Certification Board will be available.
