Event Description: Hartford boasts a small, nimble, personal, participatory forum. “Freshly Squeezed with Colin McEnroe,” hosted at Watkinson School, offers great debates and discussions you can dive into. Parents, community leaders, educators—everyone who cares about the challenges we’re facing these days—will love the opportunity to think and talk together. Let's face it...everyone loves a juicy conversation! And all of the profits benefit the education programs of three shining Hartford institutions: Billings Forge, Hartford Stage and the Mark Twain House. For those who enjoy wisdom with wit, substance with style, and the opportunity to be part of the conversation, “Freshly Squeezed with Colin McEnroe” is a must-go series. The first forum on the 2016/17 series is "The 2016 Campaign" — When "Freshly Squeezed" began five years ago, our first session was a conversation about campaign commercials. If only this 2016 campaign were that simple! Our first panel of the year will a political roundtable. We’re not so crazy as to suppose right now that we know what the right focus will be. Not yet.

WATKINSON IS LOCATED at 180 Bloomfield Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut, adjacent to the University of Hartford. If you need more information, please call us at (860) 236-5618. From the west: Route 84: Exit at Prospect Avenue (Exit 44, West Hartford). • Heading west: take right at light (Kane Street), then first left at light onto Prospect Avenue. • Heading east: at bottom of ramp, take left at first light onto Prospect Avenue. Stay on Prospect to the end (terminates into Albany Avenue, Route 44). At the light, turn right onto Albany Ave. At next light, turn left onto Bloomfield Ave. (Route 189). First light is entrance to Watkinson. Route 4 (Farmington Avenue): Turn left off Route 4 onto Prospect Avenue, West Hartford. Stay on Prospect to Albany Ave. (Route 44). Right on Albany Ave. At next light, turn left onto Bloomfield Ave. (Route 189). First light is entrance to Watkinson. Route 44 (Albany Avenue): Coming east from Bishop's Corner (W. Hartford), stay on Rte. 44 to Rte. 189 (Bloomfield Avenue). Left onto 189; first light is entrance to Watkinson. From the east: Routes 84: Get on Rte. 84 west. Follow directions above. From the south: Take I-91 to Hartford. Get on Rte. 84 west. Follow directions above. From the north: Take I-91 South. Take Exit 35B. Turn right at end of ramp onto Rte. 218 West. Travel Rte. 218 West approximately 4 miles, to the junctions of routes 218 and 189. Take a left onto Rte. 189 (Bloomfield Avenue) and proceed to the Watkinson School entrance (two miles) on the left. From the northeast: Take I-84 West. Take Exit 61 onto I-291 West. Follow I-291 West to Exit 1 (Rte. 218) and turn left at the end of the ramp onto Rte. 218 West. Travel Rte. 218 West approximately 4 miles, to the junctions of routes 218 and 189. Take a left onto Rte. 189 (Bloomfield Avenue) and proceed to the Watkinson School entrance (two miles) on the left. From the southeast: Travel Rte. 6 West to Rte. 384 West to I-84 West. Take Exit 48 and at the light turn right onto Asylum Avenue. Travel Asylum Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles and take a right onto Scarborough. At the end of Scarborough, take a left onto Albany Avenue (Rte. 44). At first light, take a right onto Rte. 189 (Bloomfield Avenue). Proceed to the Watkinson School entrance (.5 miles) on the right.
