Event Description: WEST HARTFORD - Individual tickets for Season Eight shows at Playhouse at Park are available for purchase. This includes our Mainstage Series, Comedy and Improv Nights, Young Audience Series, and other special events along the way, from holiday specials, to Play Readings and fundraisers. Our Mainstage Series opens with hilarious musical Little Shop of Horrors by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman running from September 14-October 16, followed by: Unnecessary Farce by Paul Slade Smith, November 2-20; [title of show] music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and book by Hunter Bell, January 11-29; Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten, February 15-March 5; stop/time dance theater's Rockin' The Forest, conceived, directed and choreographed by Playhouse co-founder Darlene Zoller, March 29-April 9; Last Train To Nibroc by Arlene Hutton, April 26-May 14; and the return of a favorite Playhouse production (and cast!) The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) - Revised Edition by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, June 28-July 30. Our Young Audience Series features Pinkalicious the Musical, book and lyrics by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann, music and lyrics by John Gregor, running from December 10-18, 2016. Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat, based on the book by Dr. Seuss and originally produced by the National Theatre of Great Britain runs from June 3-11, 2017. Mama D’s Christmas Stocking is a special holiday treat conceived, directed and choreographed by Playhouse on Park co-founder and co-artistic director Darlene Zoller. Celebrate the season with a little naughty, and a little nice, with weekend shows running from December 9-30. Comedy Night Series runs on: August 20, November 23, February 4, March 18, April 15 and June 3. Improv Nights run on: on November 28, February 3, June 2, and June 9&10. Playwrights on Park Reading Series for breakthrough playwrights run on: September 27, November 15, January 24, February 28, May 9 and July 18. It’s also not too late to subscribe to our Mainstage or Comedy Night Series! Individual subscriptions offer a 20% savings over individual ticket prices and include the ability to exchange to different nights, first right to same seats, among other benefits!
