Event Description: This is how to celebrate our nation’s independence! Marking its 36th year in 2015, Riverfest is Riverfront Recapture’s largest and longest running event. This celebration of our nation’s independence features live, high-quality entertainment and programming on both sides of the Connecticut River in Mortensen Riverfront Plaza and Great River Park. Riverside Park and Charter Oak Landing are also open for fireworks viewing. Riverfest brings together people of all ages and backgrounds for performances, food, children’s activities, exhibitors, and one of the largest (and best!) fireworks displays in New England, beautifully choreographed to music. Back by popular demand, Great River Park will feature a “country fair” theme. Admission is free.
